Interschool Karate Competition

The IPEM International School endeavours to inculcate overall development of the students. Apart from focussing on their academic development, we also encourage our students to participate in extra-curricular activities and sports that challenge not the only the mind but also the body. In keeping with this ideology, we provide our students with the facility to learn the arts of self-defence. Martial arts such as karate and judo are taught in school by professional instructors.

On October 2, 2009, the First All Allahabad Inter-school Karate Competition was held at Ishwar Saran Degree College. Undoubtedly, we encouraged our students to participate in this event. It is a matter of great pride for us that a total of 70 students from the IPEM International School participated in the sub-junior category event and won 19 gold and 17 silver medals, bringing the total tally to 36 medals. Furthermore, the students were adjudged to be the best overall performers, and for this achievement, the IPEM International School received the Overall Championship shield. Dr. Anand Shankar Singh, Principal of ISDC, graced the event as the Chief Guest.

We would like to applaud and congratulate all the participants for their excellence and hard work.
