Annual Prize Day

In order to succeed, we require diligence, zeal, and motivation. Motivation can be defined as an agent that ignites the feeling to act and propels us toward our goal. Reward and praise are necessary to encourage students who have excelled throughout the year and to inspire others to work harder.

Recognizing an individual’s achievements is the easiest way to motivate him or her to succeed further. In this spirit, the Annual Prize Day is one of the most awaited days in the school calendar. It is the day on which we recognize the achievements of our students; it is the day to applaud and award.

The Annual Prize Day was organized at the conference hall of the IPEM Head Office on the August 6, 2009, immediately after the Founder’s Day Thanksgiving Service that was held at the All Saints’ Cathedral, Allahabad. Rt. Rev. A.R. Stephen, the former Bishop of Lucknow, graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour.

The Annual Prize Day celebrations began with a prayer and the singing of the School Song. Thereafter, Dr. S.D. Liddle, our Principal, encouraged and congratulated the students with a few words. Further, he extended a hearty welcome to all those present and summarized the achievements of the school in the last year. Following this, Rt. Rev. A.R. Stephen, the Guest of Honour, delivered an inspiring speech in which he extolled their virtues and encouraged them to achieve greater things in life. Subsequently, he congratulated all the students for their meritorious performance and presented individual subject prizes to the students who had scored the highest marks in English, Hindi, and Mathematics, for all classes. In addition, Dr. S.D. Liddle, our Principal, distributed scholarships to those students who had stood first and second in their respective classes.

After the distribution of prizes and scholarships, Mrs. U. Eusebius, Sr. Coordinator, proposed the vote of thanks. The program ended with the singing of the School Song and the National Anthem. After the prize distribution, refreshments were served, during which time the parents of the prize winners and the guests were able to interact with the management and staff of the school.
